mental health 101 & coping support

💩 you feel like shit 💩

From the site:

This game guides you through a series of questions that help you practice self care.

It's especially useful for people who struggle with self care, executive dysfunction, and/or reading internal signals. It's designed to take as much of the weight off of you as possible, so each decision is very easy and doesn't require much judgment.

Take your time. Set aside some time--maybe an hour total--to allow yourself to work through each step. Don't rush or skip ahead; just follow the directions. Self care is important, and you deserve to devote some time to it.

You can even go through this routine as soon as you wake up, as a preventative measure.

Alternatives to Suicide – a Harm Reduction Approach to Suicide:

Alternatives to Suicide (Alt2Su) was first developed in Western Massachusetts by members of the Wildflower Alliance. The approach began with Support Groups and has grown to include a model for conversations about suicide that anyone can use.

In the Alternatives to Suicide approach, people are welcome to talk about anything, including wanting to die. No one will call the police, crisis, or other involuntary interventions. Nor do we offer any advice or assessment of experiences unless a person specifically asks for that. Participants are encouraged to use “I”-statements and make meaning of their own experience. Using this approach, people can explore the context of their experiences around suicide, their reasons for wanting to die, and work to change their relationship to their thoughts, feelings, and circumstances.

It is free to make an account.

Trans Maryland, a community building organization, runs T4T (Trans for Trans), an online space for peer-to-peer support weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm ET. These groups are for trans Marylanders 18+. Trans means that the gender assignment when you were born is no longer accurate for you. Nonbinary and agender folks are warmly welcome in this space. These groups will take place online using the Zoom platform (free).”
